INSTRUCTIONS

REMEMBER, ONCE IT IS IN PLACE, YOU NEVER NEED TO REMOVE IT.

INSERT SNORKEL INTO SNORKELBUOY®, EITHER BY SLIDING, PUSHING AND TWISTING IT OVER THE TOP OF THE SNORKEL

If you have a different kind of snorkel, like the Tusa Hyperdry Elite II Dry Snorkel then it still works perfectly. Here’s how you do it! You just need to disassemble the snorkel beforehand (remember, this is only done ONE time because once the Snorkelbuoy is in place, you never need to remove it).  Remove the mouthpiece of the snorkel (most snorkels are designed so that the mouthpiece is removable for cleaning and sanitation purposes), slide and twist the SNORKELBUOY® over the bottom of the snorkel.  Replace the mouthpiece securely.

You MUST put a generous dollop of petroleum jelly, silicone grease, liquid soap (or similar lubricant) on the inside of the Snorkelbuoy that will make it slide easily.

  • Because it’s designed to be a very tight fit (and never come off), it can be a bit of a struggle to slide the Snorkelbuoy® onto a snorkel.  I used a big dollop of petroleum jelly (Vaseline), although a dive shop manager recommended silicone grease.  One of my customers, Steven C,  who went to Antigua, suggested using liquid soap, specifically Stream2Sea body wash and shampoo. It’s reef safe, smells great, and worked perfectly for installing the Snorkelbuoys. The excess washed right off, and he was not worried worried about any residue harming the reefs or fishes.  THANK YOU STEVEN!!!!!

THE CORRECT PLACEMENT IS WHEN THE SNORKELBUOY® IS SECURELY ATTACHED WITH AT LEAST 2 – 3 INCHES OF SNORKEL PROTRUDING FROM THE TOP OF THE SNORKELBUOY®.  SNORKELBUOY® IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO KEEP YOUR SNORKEL AFLOAT BUT IS BUOYANT ENOUGH TO KEEP YOUR MASK AFLOAT TOO, AS LONG AS YOUR MASK IS VERY SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE SNORKEL WITH A SNORKEL-KEEPER (SOLD SEPARATELY). IF YOUR SNORKEL-KEEPER SNAPS AND YOUR MASK BREAKS FREE, YOUR MASK WILL SINK – SO MAKE SURE YOUR SNORKEL-KEEPER IS STRONG AND IN GOOD CONDITION.

NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST MASKS.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS WEBSITE IS ONLY ABOUT SNORKELBUOY®. I DO NOT SELL MASKS OR SNORKELS OR SNORKEL-KEEPERS.
